Start your safari off with a short flight on our aircraft and arrive on Kapama’s doorstep in true style. Arrival at the 1.5-kilometre airstrip in the Swiss-manufactured aircraft gets you there safely, reliably and most importantly, comfortably.

The flight service operates between Johannesburg’s OR Tambo International Airport and Cape Town International exclusively for Kapama guests on request. Flights are extremely flexible and can be booked in line with International Flight times.

Kapama has partnered with Fireblade Aviation and makes use of its terminal services at ORTIA. Guests can freshen up in the restrooms before boarding the Kapama aircraft or make use of the facilities on their return in the comfortable hospitality suites before moving on to their next destination. Fireblade has its own customs and immigration facility so there are no queues, no fuss and no time-wasting in getting to your destination.

The facilities utilised for this luxury travel option at Cape Town International are provided by Signature Flight services.

The flight time from ORTIA to Kapama is just under an hour and from Cape Town International it is approximately 3 hours. Before-sunrise and after-sunset flights can be accommodated as there are full runway lights on the airstrip. On arrival at the Kapama airstrip, you will be welcomed by a dedicated ranger and driven directly to the reserve in a less-than-ten-minute drive and your safari can begin!
