We are thrilled to announce that Kapama Karula, the flag-ship luxury safari lodge in Kapama Private Game Reserve, the Greater Kruger National Park, has once again been awarded the prestigious 5-star Premium status. Only a handful of luxury properties in South Africa are awarded this honour. After two very turbulent and disruptive years, with the tourism industry taking such a hard knock, it truly was a very proud moment for the incredible team at Kapama Karula to once again be recognized for their commitment and hard work in delivering exceptional service which Kapama is renowned for.
The 5-Star Premium grading status was implemented to enhance the Tourism Grading Council of South Africa’s (TGCSA) grading standards. Reserved for the most luxurious product offerings in South Africa, this aspirational level allows the TGSCA to recognise establishments that epitomise the highest levels of world-class luxury in both unique product quality and service going above and beyond other 5-star properties.
Ms Nelisiwe Yengwa (National Quality Assessment Manager) and Rethabile Lebethe, Provincial Quality Assurance Specialist from TGCSA, presented Theresa Cronje – Kapama Karula Lodge Manager and GM, Christiaan Basson, with the award in a handover ceremony on 18th February.
