We left the lodge round about 4:30pm and we decided to drive in the North-Western side of the reserve to see if we can find the elusive leopard. We drove around looking for any fresh signs of this cat but instead we found some rhino tracks and they were very fresh, maybe about an hour old. So we followed them and not even 20 minutes later we found them. It was a mother and her calf; the baby was drinking milk from the mother.

We spent about 10 to 15 minutes with them and we decided to carry on with our quest to find the leopard. We drove around for another 30 minutes or so, and then I remembered about a leopard that killed an impala the night before so I went to have a look if we can find it. Luckily we found her on her way to the kill and followed her in the bush. Unfortunately, we got stuck in the bush but it was well worth it to see this beautiful cat.
