As the sun sets on 2017…

Dec 19, 20178 comments

As this year draws to a close it’s hard to believe that the sun will be setting on another year.  It seems like just yesterday we were welcoming in 2017!

It’s a good time to reflect on what has happened over the past 11 or so months. To look over the highs and lows to see what we can take from our experiences to make the next year even better.

Gazing over the past year at Kapama, we certainly have had a tremendous amount of highs. These highs aren’t necessarily from the winning of awards, which we are still very proud of, but have so much to do with the amazing guests we have welcomed through the doors of our 4 different lodges:

River Lodge, Buffalo Camp, Southern Camp and Karula.

We have welcomed guests from all over the world. From countries like Israel, Denmark, Switzerland, Norway, and the UK. Australia, Brazil, Germany and even the USA and Canada, plus so many more. We understand that each of you has your own unique ideas and bucket list dreams of what you want to experience on a South African safari, we truly hope we exceeded your expectations.

We have been privileged to meet so many of you over this past year. Just as you all learned about South Africa, our diversity and culture, nature and wildlife, our trackers, rangers and other staff, we too, have learned just as much from you.

As we enter the festive seasons, and we reflect on all the special gifts we have been blessed with, we would like to thank you for being part of our story and more importantly, part of our memories this past year. We have thoroughly enjoyed emerging you in a magical and special experience –

A true South African Wildlife Safari Adventure!

Seeing your fantastic photos, comments, posts, reviews, suggestions, remarks you shared on different social media with friends and family regarding your stay at Kapama, we know they will not only serve as a memory for you but for us too.

Wherever you may be, as we come together with family and friends over this joyous time, we wish you all a wonderful festive season and only the very best for 2018!

We hope to see you all again soon on Kapama, appreciating nature, watching a sunset and experiencing another terrific day in Africa!

Season Greetings and travel safe!
