Buffalo Drinking

Kapama Ranger Blog

Just before heading back to the lodge on a really hot summer morning, I decided to go past a waterhole to see what we could find as I was sure something would be drinking water in the heat that we were experiencing and I was right. We came across a herd of around 50 buffalo that were all in the water, drinking and playing around well 6 giraffe watched from a distance waiting for their turn as space was limited at the waterhole. The buffalo were in no rush so after a few minutes one very old bull giraffe lost all his patience and started chasing the buffalo away until there was enough space for him and the rest of the giraffe’s to drink.

Really awesome!!!
