Earth Hour is a worldwide event organised annually by World Wide Fund for Nature to raise awareness about the need to take action on climate change which encourages households and business around the world to turn off their non-essential lights for one hour. It all started in 2007 when 2.2 million residents of Sydney participated in this event by turning off all lights. Since then this annual event was adopted worldwide and now 7001 cities in 152 countries are participating in this huge event.
