These two giraffe bulls were spotted fighting this morning. They normally fight using their necks and stand facing in the same direction. Once in this position they “neck” each other and try to force each other off balance. While watching this elaborate display one of the bulls had lowered his neck and hooked his opponent’s front leg, resulting in it getting stuck on his back! After managing to free his front leg, the opponent gave one last swing of his neck.
The update on the buffalo carcass – a few vultures were found scavenging from the carrion and two Black-backed Jackals were seen.
This evening we are looking at the temperature dropping to 8degC as a cold front moves through the region.
