Lion Surprise

Kapama Ranger Blog

After an awesome Leopard sighting of a female with her two cubs on a kill yesterday afternoon, I went to find a nice spot to have out Sundowner drinks. As we approached the dam wall, four Lionesses appeared out of nowhere. We followed them as they were stalking Wildebeest. Watching the Lions on the one side, with an awesome sunset on the other side, I just realized again how fortunate we are to be doing a job like this. In the end the Lions didn’t catch anything, bu very satisfied after a great drive, we went back to the lodge for a well deserved dinner.
