Last night I had a very nice drive. After finding some rhino’s wallowing in the mud, where our dominant male made a bit of a spectacle of himself, we went on to go and find some elephants. It took quite a bit of  searching, but we found them as they were slowly but surely heading towards a nearby dam. Patiently we waited for them to come down to the waterhole.

Eventually we saw the bush move in the distance, and saw  their big bodies moving through the trees.  Our patience was rewarded as the whole herd came out to drink with the sun setting behind them.  It turned out to be an fantastic sighting, and goes to show that a little bit of patience can make a big difference where it comes to nature and wild animal sightings.
