This morning we woke up to a network of rivers, the roads had disappeared. I was quite surprised that there weren’t fish swimming down the roads that is how much rain we had during the night. The storm was accompanied with some amazing lightning. All in all we had 93mm.
The game drive was pretty quiet since all the tracks were washed away, making life a little more difficult for us rangers and our trackers. The highlight of the morning was a Dark Chanting Goshawk with a freshly made reptile kill. We sat watching it devour the meal hastily before someone else managed to steal its hard earned breakfast.
