Spring is in the air

Kapama Ranger Blog

After being on leave for three weeks, it is amazing to see how things change over a short period of time, especially during change of seasons. With all the migratory birds coming back for summer, it is like a choir of different calls in the bush, each species trying to attract its mate with the most interesting calls. We were lucky enough to see the Red Crested Korhaan doing his display flight twice in one game drive. The Burchell’s Coucals, also known as the Rainbirds, were going mad last night, so hopefully we can look forward to our first spring rains. We will keep you posted on that!
