This morning was nice and overcast here at Kapama, shielding us from the otherwise hot summer sun. Quickly we found some zebra, giraffe and warthog moving along the road on their way to their breakfast. In the zebra herd was a very young foal that I estimated to be around a week old, luckily for him breakfast is never far away as the mom will stay close to it. Then after a bit of searching we located the dominant bull rhino sleeping next to one of the dams to be followed by a large bull elephant just up the road. These two individuals will be the two largest mammals on Kapama, seeing them close together was quite cool as we could then appreciate their enormous bulk. The rest of the drive was nice and quiet so that we could enjoy the beauty and calm of nature.
