The other day while on drive it had been a fairly quite morning with not much happening. After tea and coffee we came around a fallen down Leadwood and found a young female lion up a Marula tree with her mother and brother watching from below. Lions aren’t the most graceful of climbers and she ended up in an undignified heap at the bottom of the Marula, she got up and looked around as if nothing had happened, then she and the others walked a couple of meters before lying down it wasn’t three minutes later that something caught their eye. They started to follow up with us behind them and realized they were ten meters from a sounder of warthogs, heads low ears flat within seconds they caught a warthog piglet, an amazing sighting from clumsy child’s play to a super predator!
