Winners Announced

Apr 26, 20172 comments

Professional photographer and publisher, Heinrich van den Berg, has once again made his decision as to who would be the winner of the best photographer for the third quarter of the Kapama Photo and Video Competition. In recognition of the valuable contribution made by staff members, Kapama launched a photographic competition for its employees in 2016. Staff were encouraged to unleash their creativity and explore the natural environment around them. The top three winners were announced earlier this month on the Kapama Facebook Page and here they are:

1st place – Reynard Moolman (Southern Camp ranger)

2nd place – Alister Kemp, (former Southern Camp ranger)

3rd place – Bjorn de Bruin (Karula ranger)

As always, Kapama is delighted to honour the staff who share our love for wildlife and nature – please click here if you would like to view the Top 20 and Top 10.

Christiaan Basson, General Manager Tourism, once again handed over the prizes to the deserving winners at the official prize giving held at Kapama River Lodge. First prize is an R5,000 voucher which can be redeemed at OutdoorPhoto. First, Second and Third place winners each receive a certificate to acknowledge their accomplishments as well as a Kapama Photo Tips book, published by Heinrich van der Berg, to help them improve their skills and knowledge about photography. With the fourth quarter of the competition now under way, everyone is filled with expectation of another successful competition. Anticipation is high to see who will be the next best photographer. Competition is expected to be “shutteringly” good.
