The options are varied as to what we can offer to make your stay more memorable. A private dinner for couples or groups can be set up in a secluded area of the lodge with five-star treatment and a group of dedicated staff.
Or the option of a fine dining experience out in the reserve is also available for private groups or as part of an evening game drive. The quintessential roaring campfire makes this a firm favourite.

Begin your day with a robust and wholesome breakfast, or have dinner under the stars around a roaring fire after your game drive.

HONEYMOONS
Our honeymoon special includes a complimentary bottle of fine South African wine.
A night spent at our sleep-out venue can be added to your stay, as an add-on activity, and is the perfect honeymoon safari experience. Kapama’s incredibly romantic sleep-out platform submerges you in the abundant bushveld that spans the reserve. As you wind your way up the spiral stairs to the elevated platform, be welcomed with refreshing cocktails and a mesmerising 360-degree view.
The African bush fairy-tale continues with a five-course dinner served by a personal chef at an intimate table for two. With just a mosquito net separating you from the star-studded night sky, the nocturnal sounds of the African bush will ignite the soul and lull you to sleep under the boundless galaxy.

Team – building
A team-building experience in a safari setting is the motivation for any member of any team.
Kapama offers options such as The Kapama Amazing Race and Game Capture Participation. For additional options to design something specifically for your needs, email us [email protected]
Duration: 3 hours | Costs: R42 350 | Participants: 80 people
Teams are broken up into groups of 7 or 8 and provided with handheld GPS devices to navigate their way through the African bush on their game-viewing vehicle.
Participants are tasked with reaching as many checkpoints as possible in the allotted three hours. Armed with a map, challenges and instructions, the teams must find their way to the finish line by answering the questions correctly and using their assigned imaginary ‘piggy bank’ to buy information and tools that will make the challenge easier.
The GPS system offers the best routes to the finish line, but exceeding the speed limit or going too far off-track will incur penalties.
Teams are given more ‘money’ to add to their piggy bank after completing each checkpoint’s challenges successfully.
This experience can be adapted to incorporate company-related questions and themes and the duration of the overall activity can be adjusted.

Game capture, treating wounds of sick or injured animals, attaching anti-poaching tracking devices and relocating animals are vital aspects of what it means to own a reserve like Kapama.
These sensitive events can form part of a team-building exercise and participants can be involved from the outset when an animal is darted, relocated, treated and released back into the reserve. Due to the sensitive nature, there is limited availability and it is best suited to a fairly small group.

WEDDINGS
Mother Nature in all her glory provides the ultimate wedding venue. Whether it’s a grand affair or a small intimate gathering, Kapama’s views and location mean that extra special touch can be felt in the details.
Our little black book is full of the names of the best decor specialists, florists, hairdressers, make-up artists and bakers and we can even put you in touch with a wedding coordinator. Brides-to-be planning their wedding from afar can rely on the talents of a wedding coordinator who will make sure every detail is taken care of.
Perhaps arrange a game drive for your guests while you and your bridal party take photos, and be entertained by a traditional African choir, traditional tribal dancing or local choir.

We will handle all the legal requirements for your wedding. An ordained minister can perform the ceremony in the reserve and the register needs to be signed under a permanent structure to legalise the marriage. We make this process as flawless as possible and are available to answer any questions regarding the legalities.
